Make the next step easier for your customer

Every extra step creates another chance for a customer to leave. The extension removes the need to copy a number, save a contact and start a new chat manually.

01

Create click-to-chat links

Enter your WhatsApp number and an optional opening message. The extension creates a link customers can tap to start the conversation.

02

Generate downloadable QR codes

Turn your WhatsApp link or website address into a QR code you can download and use online or in print.

03

Reduce customer friction

Give people a direct route from a sign, menu, advert, invoice or social profile to the conversation you want them to start.

How to use it

From number to QR code in four steps

You do not need design software or technical experience. Install the extension once, then open it whenever you need a fresh link or QR code.

01

Install the extension

Select "Add to Chrome for Free" on this page, then confirm the installation in the Chrome Web Store.

02

Enter your number or website

Use your full WhatsApp number with the country code, or paste the website address you want customers to visit.

03

Add an opening message

For WhatsApp links, add an optional pre-filled message such as "Hi, I would like a quote" so the customer knows what to send.

04

Copy or download

Copy the click-to-chat link or download the QR code as an image. Test it on your phone before adding it to customer material.

Important: A QR code helps someone start a conversation. It does not give permission to add that person to marketing broadcasts. Get clear consent and follow POPIA and WhatsApp's business policies.

Why we created it

South African businesses already sell through WhatsApp

Customers use WhatsApp to ask questions, request quotes, confirm bookings and decide who to buy from. Yet many businesses still make people search for a number, save it manually and work out what to say.

Jozi Digital created this free extension to remove that friction. It gives small businesses a practical way to connect printed material, websites and social channels to a real customer conversation.

The QR code is the starting point. A complete WhatsApp marketing system also needs clear consent, useful responses, sensible automation and a way to measure which conversations become customers.

Read our guide to WhatsApp marketing in South Africa for the difference between the Business App and Business API, practical automation ideas and POPIA considerations.
